Valentine Candy Holder

Now isn't this just the cutest thing ever? Well I think so.

The image is from MelJens Designs.
Believe it or not the carton is a french fry holder from Wendy's hamburger restaurant.
I just traced it out onto Bazzill Card stock, and glued it together. I used water color pencils to color the image, and the patterned papers are from Doodle bug.

Picture Frame Calendar

Isn't this just the cutest thing you have
ever seen. I had a picture frame which the glass
broke, and I kept the wooden frame, thinking that
maybe some day I might use it for something. I was
cleaning out my craft room and found it. I found
this idea from Kath, over at, Kath-All that glitter.
I also have this listed in my Etsy store. If you would like

I used Bazzill and doodlebug card stock, Prima flowers, my cuttlebug for the die cut letters. and some bling gems.

You can either hang this or set it on your desk, table or counter top

Such a cute idea, Don't cha think.

Here is a picture of the back, it is just an ordinary picture frame, and I decorated it with card stock, flowers, and a monthly calendar.

Cute things I received from Christmas

Here are a few crafty items that I received for the holidays.

The card is from Stampin Up, one of my

co-workers gave it to me. The middle one,

my husband got from a lady at his work,

it has peppermint patties in it. I believe

the images are also from Stampin Up,

and the candy holder, which is made

with Basic Grey card stock, I received from

a client of mine, I thought that they were

all really cute.

I didn't post during the holidays, as

for I was really busy with work,

shopping, and the mother-in-law

was coming for the holidays. She came

on the train, from MT. Was suspose

to be here through the 28th, but

left two days after getting here. (long story)

I hope everybody had a great

Holiday, and stay safe for New Year's Eve.

Xmas Hottie

OMG, when I saw this card on other blogs, I just had
to get her. Isn't she just great. Like always when ever
I get done making a card I have to show it off to my
hubby and kids, all my kids could say was "WOW"
and hubby said "I like it". This is so out of my box.

Fallin' Snowflakes

Hello,
Starting to make some of my christmas cards.
This is actually early for me. I usually sit
and stare at all the pretty cards that you all
make, and then tell myself that I am going
to 'case' certain ones, and then when it is
all said and done, I am rushing at the last
minute and just making cards that I'm not
at all satisfied with. So hopefully this yr.
will be different. I love Snowmen, and
snowflake cards, so right now I will
probably be making lots of different versions
of them.

stickles star dust, the pears, and gems are from my
stash box.

Digi Pumpkin Card

Hello, and Welcome. This is such a cute card
in person. I used a Digi stamp from MelJens Designs.
designs. I cropped the digi image onto a piece
of orange card stock, then folded the cardstock
on the left side, (so it opens from the side)
instead of your traditional types of cards. I then
made a copy of the same digi pumpkin image,
but this time used brown, yellow and green,
card stock, and then cut out the stem, star,
and leaf, and taped it onto the orange pumpkin.

I have entered this card into 7 different

Lovin' Fall

Penny Black Autumn Challenge Card

WOW, I can't believe I haven't posted, or blogged in such
a long time. I have had such a busy end of summer, and now
we are already a couple weeks into fall. Where ohh where
does the time go?

Well I finally made a card and am entering it into 4
different challenges. I will probably be a bit more into
card making, as for I love fall/autumn colors, so that
makes it a bit more enjoyable for me to make things.

Any whoo, onto my card. I am entering this card into
Penny Black Saturday Challenge, which is to make something with 2 Penny Black images.

Bargello Quilt

Good Sunday to you.

My intensions were to keep this site for my cards, but I've decided to
show off some of my quilts that I have made or am making.

Here is a bargello quilt top which measures 74x86'.
I just finished a couple weeks ago. I had a whole
bunch of scraps left over from lots of different
projects, and just decided
to make this. I didn't do the traditional bargello
style pattern, actually at
the time that I made this I didn't have a pattern,
so this is what I came up
with on my own. Since then I did
purchase a bargello quilt pattern on
ebay, and am working on that one. These
types of quilts are very time
consuming for me, cutting out all of those
little squares, uughhhh. Probably
will not be making another one. I will
post the second one later.

Summer Time Fun

IS Summer Coming?

This card is getting me ready for summer, even though
we are still getting lots and lots of rain, and unseasonably
cooler days. I can hardly wait for no rain and some
sunshine.

Well I decided to make a different kind of card. I am always
looking for new ideas in paper crafting. Ran across this
awesome card to make and it only takes 1 12x12 piece
of card stock for the base of the card. Then of course
more card stock to decorate the card. Any whoo it is called
"Never ending Card" and it opens up 5 different ways. If

It has been raining here off and on pretty much all weekend so far.
We had no plans as for hubby and I had to work Friday
and Saturday. So I decided that today was a good day to
do some crafting.

When I saw these I just had to make some. I found the
tutorial here at stampin Inspirations. It is pretty easy to make, so go ahead and

that fit this card, I decided to go ahead with it.

Penny Black Challenge Card

Wow, I sure had a productive day, got up early,
went grocery shopping,
was back home by 11:30 a.m.
(usually I don't leave until 1:00).

Then I dug up an area in my yard, about 12x10',
which was full of grass, and
weeds. I am going to attempt to
make a garden which hopefully will
attract hummingbirds, and butterflies.
Some advise would be great
for those of you who have those kind of gardens.

Then I finished my day
off with a great dinner of Jasmine rice
mixed with saute onions, mushrooms,
and bacon, with an alfredo sauce,
and some parmesan cheese encrusted
salmon fillets, and cheese bread.

K, so enough of that, on to my card.
I made this card with five different
challenges in mind.

abc challenge, which is
to have Sparkle on your creation. Next is
Stamp Challenges, and that is "Something Layered". Next up is
Pennys Challenge,
which is "anything goes". Then there is
Penny Black, which is Monochromatic Brown, and last but not least, is
Your Next Stamp Challenge, and you are to have stitching, real or faux, on your creations.

3 in 1 Challenge Card

Hello,
Wow I actually found time to make
two cards in one week. I'm quite impressed
with my self. I just might have to give my self
a pat on the back. I'm not going
to get to over the top, as for who
knows what next week will bring.

I made this an easel card, and am entering it into 3 different challenges. The challenges are as
follows, (in no particular order). The first is Sketch Saturday,
which you need to follow this sketch. The next is
One Stop Craft Challenge,
that challenge is called 'On The Move" they want to see moving items on your cards,
such as pop ups, shaker, flaps, waterfall, spinners etc. Then the last challenge is
Creative Card Crew, and that
challenge is 'Happy Birthday'.

Wow can not believe how long it has been since my last post. I have been busy, busy, busy. Well instead of going into
the long boring details of why I was away for so long, I am just going to get right back into things, and hopefully try to post once a week, if not more.

This card is for three challenges. The first is
Paper Take Weekly Challenge, which is a sketch to follow. The next is Craft Challenge, and that challenge
is to use buttons on your project. Next there is
Penny Black Challenge, and there you have to use a Penny Black image, along with some buttons.

Patterned paper used was 'lemonade' by Basic Grey
other cardstock was made by me
buttons and ribbons from stash
Penny Black Image 'Hugs"
SU and Tim Holtz inks were used.

Whiff of Joy stamps are just to stinkin cute. I love the Melinda and Willow stamps.

'For U' 3 challenges in 1 card

Good Monday to you all.

Hope you everyone had a great Halloween, weekend. We stayed home, the kids are
getting to old to 'Trick or Treat', it was great seeing such cute little ones all dressed up.
We didn't have as many kids out this yr, compared to previous yrs. even considering, that
we live only 4 blocks from an elementary school,it was a nice nite, and no school the next day.
Ohh well, I guess more families are
doing the church, school, and family socials, instead of the traditional door to door.

Well, had the afternoon off so was able to make a card. This card was very
easy to make, and I just love Pinks and Browns together. only made one card today, as for
I had other crafty things to do. I finished sewing a blouse, and I made flannel pajama
pants.

is Spots 'n' Stripes. Next is a Thursday Challenge, which is

Carol's Sketch Ornament Card

Got another card made, so I decided to post it since I had some extra time, need to take
advantage of down time when I can, because who knows what can happen 10 mins. from
now. I made this card for a challenge that carol has on her blog. It is a sketch challenge,
and this is what I came up with.

I stayed with the traditional Christmas red and green colors, even though I really like
red and blue this yr. for Christmas colors, maybe I will have to make another card like
this, but use red and blue, ohh who knows what I will do next.

last night, but got caught up in watching DWTS (dancing with the Stars). Any Who,

Halloween Challenge Card

Well, a lot of the challenge blogs are doing a Halloween theme this week, since Halloween
is on Saturday, it just seems appropriate. This is the first yr. in about the last 15 yrs. that I do
not have to take the kids out trick or treating. My oldest son is 18, the youngest daughter is 13.
My daughter might go, but just with some friends. I will be home passing out the candy
and oohing and awing over all the cute little ones all dressed up in their costumes.

Handmade Pumpkin Card

Hello, I had today off, so was able to make two cards. I just love it when that
happens. Didn't have much to do, got most of my things done yesterday,
because I wanted to have a fun crafty day.

This pumpkin card I made for two challenges. The first challenge is over at
Charisma Cardz, which
they are having a 'it's so distressing' they want to see all sorts is distressing
on your creations. The other is at
Three Clovers Designs, and they want to see 'Nature" creations.

I made the pumpkin free hand, no stamp or die cut, and then inked the edges.
This was a very simple and easy card. I like the way the white made the design
paper pop. Very clean and simple.

Sketch and Autumn Challenge Card

Hello, we are having a blistery fall day. It is chilly, windy, and rainy, and will be this way for
about a week. I will take this over the snow, any day, so not complaining, just mentioning.

I did manage between, laundry, cleaning, putting up fall decorations, and making
bbq pulled pork sandwiches yesterday, to make a lovely fall card. I just love all the deep
dark rich colors of Autumn.

Penny Black Autumn Breezes

Hello,
I just love this time of year. Some of the things that I really like about it is
the beautiful changing colors of the outdoors, the cool crisp days with sunshine,
burning candles, baking, and crock pot soups, and stews. What I really do not
like is the short days, it gets dark too early.

Well, on to my card. I have made this card for two challenges. Penny Black, challenge is 'Autumn Breezes', and over at One Stop Craft Challenge, it is 'Autumn Inspirations'. I have used autumn colors on my card, so I'm sure
it will qualify.

Buzz off sketch and card challenge

K, so I was able to sneak in one card this week for two different
challenges. There are so many challenges out there that I wish I
could join in with each week, but just do not have the time, so I have
to pick a few challenges per one card. There are some people out there
that are talented enough to combine 3, 4, 5 even more challenges
with one card, very impressive to me when they do that.

This card is for Cute Card Thursday,
which they are calling it "Buzz off" which means to use black and yellow on your creations.
The other Challenge is Friday Sketchers, and there they have a sketch for you to follow along with.

Miss You Teddy Bear Challenge Card

Well, well, well, I have been able to be more creative than I thought
I would have time for. Have been way more productive on my crafts, maybe
I should take some of that advice and productivity into cleaning more, but
maybe not:):):):)

So, I made this card for three different challenges. They are as follows.
Over at One Stop Craft Challenge,
it is "Beary Nice" use teddies and bears on your creations. Next we have
Papertake Weekly, there is a sketch
to follow, and last but not least, there is
Creative Card Crew, and it is to decorate the inside of your card.

Favorite Color Combo Challenge Card

Hello, Ohh my gosh two cards in one week, and I just might be making another
card before the day is over. I have today off, did most of my chores that needed
to be done yesterday, so that I could go to the fabric store, and craft the rest
of the day, ohh and I guess I will make dinner for hubby, when he gets home
from work.

K, so onto my card. I made this card, with two challenges in mind. The first
is Stamp Challenges,
and the challenge there is, create something with your favorite colors, or
favorite papers. Then over at
Our Creative Corner, there they have a color combo for you, it is
pinks, brown, and white.

My favorite color combo is actually a tie, I love brown and pinks and brown
with teals. I can never decide which I like better, so I just say that they are
a tie for first place. (if there can be such a thing as a tie for first place)

So, onto the card, I used,

*patterned paper from Paper Pizazz "soft tints Pink Swirls"
*cupcake image, inkadinkado "Birthday Cupcake" set

Fall Challenge Card

Hello, and welcome, Thank you for stopping by.
Whoo Hoo, I got off work, came home and decided to make a card.
This is what I came up with, isn't he just to darn cute. I just love all the different rich vibrant colors of fall.

I really like the way this card turned out. I think the image is super cute, and
all the colors went well together.

I am entering this into 3 different challenges. The first is
Paper Take Weekly Challenge, which is "Faking it" So it did some faux stitching on my card.
Up next is Carols Sketch Fun, which
she has an awesome sketch to follow. Last, but not least, is
A spoon full of Sugar and the theme there is "Fall into Autumn."

Two Challenge Card "Fall into Autumn"

Whoo Hoo, I actually found time to make two cards this week, plus get them posted. That is just
way to cool. After the last few weeks that I have had, it feels good to get those creative
juices flowing again.

We are having summer weather here again, probably for one last weekend. Tomorrow and
Sunday it might reach 90. I will certainly take it, as for I am not ready for the grey, windy
rainy days to come back just yet.

Ok, on to my card. I am entering this into two challenges. The challenges are The fresh

Hello, it has been a little over a week since my last challenge card. This time
of year is my busiest at work, with all those back to school haircuts. You know all those kidos
need a good lookin hair cut before the first day of school, but that is over, and now
hopefully I will get some more down time so that I can make a couple cards
a week, or at least that is my goal.

Penny Black Christmas in August Challenge

Hello,

I came across this challenge site when I was blog hoping from
different sites. Kind of a long story to this but here it goes.
So, for the Penny Black challenges you need to use at least
one "Penny Black" image, so I thought this would be a good
reason to go to my local craft store, where I know that they
carry Penny Black stamps, so off I go, and low and behold I get
there and they do NOT carry Penny Black stamps. No worries, I will
go to the other craft store, just could not remember which store
I have boughten them from. Get to that store and they don't have
any, so I ask a nice store clerk lady, and she tells me that they
are NO longer carrying that brand. WHAT, I can not believe it.
Now the only way for me to get them is on the internet. Which is not
that big of a deal, except for when you are an instant gratification type
of gal like I am. When I make a card I want to do it now, not have
to wait for my stamp to come in the mail.

I only have two Penny Black Stamps, and luckily one of them is
a christmas stamp, so it fit just perfect into this challenge.

I have managed to be pretty productive this past week. Hopefully
I am out of my slump, from the past couple of weeks, where I didn't
get as much crafting done as I had hoped. This week, I actually
made two cards for challenges, and I also worked on my

Christmas Challenge Card

I have decided to combine two challenges with this Holiday card.
I am hoping that I can make at least 3-4 christmas cards each
month up until November, that way I am not waiting until the
last minute trying to get my christmas cards done, and mailed
out on time. Something that I end up doing every year.

The two challenges that I am using are
Paper Take Weekly , which you are to use any previous
challenge, so I needed a sketch that had an Oval shape to it. The
challenge week that I found was October 13th, Katharina's Sketch.
The other challenge was from
Polly Craft Challenge and it is Favourite Things. Use anything that
is your fav. This is my favourite christmas digi image that I have.

Christmas in August Card Challenge

Hello, and Thank you for stopping by.

I just can not believe how fast time is zipping by. Every time I post a card, I say that
I would like to start posting at least 2-3 cards a week, but by the time I get done
working, comin home and getting everything done around the house that
needs to be done, i'm just not in the mood to craft. I am hoping that I get
out of this rut soon. I am also making a pumpkin applique quilt for the fall,
and I better get moving faster on that, or it won't be done for this fall, but
maybe next fall.

Any Whoo on to my card. I have made this card for two challenges this

My Minds Eye Happy Birthday Card

Haven't posted in a while. Have been working a lot.
By the time I get done working 6-8 hr days and 8-10 days
in a row, I am getting pretty tired. When I get home
I am not too much in the crafting mood.

I only managed to make one card over the course
of 2 weeks. So here it is.

Dawn's Fabric Squares giveway

I haven't had a chance to make any cards lately, been to busy at work. After working
8-10 days/nights in a row. I don't really have the ambition to do much card making.

Winged Something's Challenge

Hello, Hello, Hello,

Wow it has been hot around here. We hit an all time record, yesterday 106 ferinheit, and today
was 104 ferinheit. Some really warm days when you are not use to it. I didn't
think that it was too bad, but I do work, live, and drive in A/C.

Well onto my card, which I made for Stamp Something Challenge. The challenge
was to use something with wings, such as bugs, butterflies, and other winged somethings.

Changito The Monkey Challenge Card

Hello everybody

Now don't you just love the cute and adorable Changito Monkey.
No matter what the sketch, the color combo, or any technique
that I use, when I make a card with this monkey, I always like it.
So there was no exceptions to this card as well.

Over at Creative Corner, the challenge is to use 3 embellishments

Pretty In Pink Heart Card

Hello,
I was stepping out of my box in making this card, as for I do not make cards
with hearts on them. I am more of a whimsy, cute animal or flowers type of
card gal. This card really didn't do much for me, even after making the card
using my favorite color combo, maybe these hearts will just have to grow
on me (or maybe not)

Stamp Challenge "Christmas in July"

Wow, let me tell ya, it sure was hard making a Christmas card, when the temps
around here have been in the 80's. Now that it is summer, I'm sure
everybody is getting great summer time weather. Here in Vancouver
Washington, we get a couple nice hot days in the Spring, and usually
the 4th weekend is still grey, cloudy and rainy, and then on the 5th or 6th
we get our summer weather, but not this yr. We had a really warm and sunny
4th weekend, first time that I can remember in about 4-5 yrs.

AnyWhoo, onto my card. This was a challenge over at Stamp Challenges
and you are to make anything for "Christmas". I really like the
DT samples. I have always been partial to Christmas cards though.
My fav. are snowmen, some snowmen are so cute and
adorable, that I could just squeeze them, but then again
I am always partial to cute animal stamps as well.

I used:

*Heidi Grace and The Paper Company card stock

My Minds Eye "Summer Flip Flops"

Hello, and good evening. I hope everyone had a wonderful 4th. Hubby and I went and
bought $150 (choke) on fireworks,
we complain about it every yr, but still end
up spending that much every time.
We then went out to dinner, and had Krispy Kreme for dessert. Started lighting off fireworks,
at 10 with the kiddos, and finished around 11:20 p.m.

Okay for my card I incorporated three challenges to make this card. I discovered My Minds eye papers
on another ladies blog, and just had to go out and get some.
So I have made several cards with the papers, and like
each and every one just as equal.

The three challenges that I used for my card are A Spoon Full of Sugar which you are to use a "summer" image on your card.
Then there is Charisma Cardz
and there we are to use "buttons"
The last challenge is from Carols Sketch Fun.
Carol has given us a great sketch to follow. I just found this challenge site, and
decided to give it a go.
